about conservation

Tampa Bay Water’s conservation efforts focus on protecting the amount of water available for drinking, bathing and living. We do this by:

  • Reviewing new products, technologies and services designed to save water
  • Identifying best practices in water efficiency
  • Distributing the latest information on water demand and conservation through our member governments of Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas and the cities of New Port Richey, St. Petersburg and Tampa
  • Encouraging our member governments to implement best-practice recommendations

Tampa Bay Water’s conservation efforts help our member governments to:

  • Educate water users on best-practices through educational materials, tips, check lists and guidelines
  • Create incentive and rebate programs on specific water-saving products such as energy- and water-efficient appliances
  • Sustain the region’s quality of life and environment
