What Work Requires a Permit?

  • Commercial and residential installations of irrigation systems using potable or reclaimed water require a permit. Reclaimed hook-ups also require the homeowner’s work order number. Submittal documents include:
    • A site plan at a readable and definable scale that illustrates the proposed irrigation zones and delineates micro-irrigation zones from areas using other irrigation techniques.
       
    • Hillsborough County Design Certification and Installation Certification (commercial and residential)
       
    • Hillsborough County Plumbing Permit Application
       
    • Backflow check form (after installation)
