northwest hillsborough well number 7 intertie

Hillsborough County’s Lake Park Water Treatment Plant, located near Van Dyke Road and Dale Mabry Highway, treats groundwater provided by Tampa Bay Water from a number of sources. The capacity supplied to the water treatment plant can be increased by a new pipeline project that will connect a nearby isolated well to the supply line that feeds the plant.

The Northwest Hillsborough No. 7 Intertie Project will provide up to 4 million gallons per day of additional drinking water to Hillsborough County’s water treatment plant through the installation of a new pipeline along Van Dyke Road (see map on back). The project will cost approximately $1.7 million and is being funded by Tampa Bay Water.

Construction will begin in June 2009 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2010.
